Van Conversion: Vinyl Floor
The floor is DONE!! And it feels so good! Every conversion process we’ve ever watched, everybody gets so excited about finishing the floor. Now we know why! It’s so wonderful, such a milestone! This went much smoother than our floor insulation and plywood, so it was a pleasant time for all! Check out our video and let us know if you have any questions! Van Conversion: Floor Insulation
We never thought it would take this long to insulate a floor, but we’d rather take the time now and have it last much longer and be as good as it can be! This insulation process was time consuming and educational! We hope you enjoy the video and hopefully we can be of some insight for those of you who are debating the van conversion process. It feels good to be done with the seats and floor insulation and moving on to the next item on our to-do list! Thanks for those who hung in there awaiting our newest van build videos, we appreciate your patience as we took some time to say goodbye to some family and friends! Back to the van build we go!
Van Purchase & Initial Shakedown
Here’s our video from the day Alan went to purchase and pick up our new-to-us van! We were so very excited to see it for the first time! We were very lucky in finding a unicorn of a Promaster all the way in Connecticut. This was a rare find because it is an empty cargo van (with 2k miles and hardly used). Most cargo vans have high mileage and have been put through the ringer. It’s also rare, because most cargo vans do not have windows because they’re used for deliveries. This one has windows, much like passenger vans. We jumped at this purchase when we saw it and are happy we did!
We’re Building!
Okay, we were trying to decide between a class B, Class B +, or a Campervan! We’ve came to a decision! Watch the video and let us know what you think or if we’re crazy! 😉 We cannot wait to take you along on this journey with us!
