When we first purchased our travel trailer, we did so under the assumption that we would be doing weekend or week long trips whenever we could, with the possibility of living in it fulltime for six months or so, many years down the road. My husband wanted a toy hauler and I wanted a “homey” feel. Together, we both wanted to be able to watch movies, entertain, or do dishes after the kiddo went to bed. Our child isn’t one who will sleep with tons of noise, so we knew the extra bedroom was a must. Once we knew what we wanted, we began the online search. Between floor plans, weight allowances, and price, we narrowed down the search fairly easily.

First RV Crash and Savannah Trip
We decided to be spontaneous and changed our destination the morning of our travels. That may have proven to have caused some bumps in the road, watch the video to see more! Regardless, we enjoyed seeing Savannah and to no surprise at all, needed lots more time to see it all! We will definitely be back, maybe even for several weeks! We enjoyed the history, the homes, and the food! Since we plan to return, we would love to hear your Savannah stories and recommendations for our next trip!
What is this HOME you speak of??
Since the beginning of our fulltiming RV life, we’ve moved an average of every other month or so. We typically travel semi locally, with longer trips sprinkled throughout the year. We are currently heading “home” from our Christmastime travels that ranged from Disney World, Kennedy Space Center, Savannah, to Atlanta. We’ve been traveling for two weeks straight and I’ve noticed something. Even though our house is with us, we continue to use this term “home”.
“When we get home…”
“It’s time to pack up and head home.”
“How much longer until we get home?”

Happy Fort Friday everybody! I’m assuming even our oldest of readers are building their forts as we speak…right?!? haha! You’re never too young to start! We have to be creative with our forts these days! We enjoy a good fort Friday! We’ve spotted a pretty day outside, so we’re heading out! Hope everybody has a wonderful weekend!
It’s also worth mentioning that forts are a favorite pastime of ours when sickness has taken over our house! I highly recommend adding a fort day to your sick days! It works wonders! 🙂
Do It Your SHELF!
There are certain modifications that you just cannot live without while living in a tiny space, and this is definitely one of them! If you haven’t seen our VERY IN DEPTH owner’s review, you can check it out here, but we had some issues with our closet situation (shocking, I know!) We have a pantry/closet option that we’re using for my husband’s closet, however it’s so short that even shirts have about a foot of crinkle/fold at the bottom which made all of his shirts look awful. Watch below and find out how we fixed it!
